Thank you to Ma and Tracey especially for making this process seamless.
Booking was Easy, respectful and understanding. Functional and fluid on the actual funeral day. Collecting my dads ashes was peaceful, timely and considerate with fresh cut roses to accompany them.
The staff they were so compassionate and thoughtful and professional could not have asked for a better send of for my wife thank you Tracy and Richard.
Whether you've recently lost a loved one or you’re planning for the future, our caring team at Allan Drew Funerals Rouse Hill is always here to help.
What do you like about being a funeral director?
Funeral arrangements can be overwhelming for people, especially while they’re carrying the weight of grief. I enjoy drawing on my professional experience to make the process a little gentler and easier for the families who place their trust in us.
What makes your brand special?
Our legacy. Allan Drew OAM was an integral part of northwest Sydney. He was loved by all who knew him. Allan Drew built a brand with a reputation for integrity and genuine care. Those of us who follow in his footsteps do everything we can to honour his name with every family we support.
What inspired you to work in funeral planning?
I have strived throughout my career to embody a spirit of service to the community. To be invited into a family’s story at one of life’s most vulnerable moments is a great privilege. Funeral planning isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. And it’s my way of giving back to the community that I love.
What gives you strength in this work?
The heartfelt thanks that we receive from the families we care for means more to me than words can express.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I volunteer as an emergency services trauma counsellor. I’m also a NSW Police historian, which allows me to collect and protect police artefacts and ephemera for future generations. I derive my greatest joy from the time I spend with my family and my precious granddaughter Sienna Grace.
What’s the most remarkable funeral you’ve ever arranged?
Every funeral is remarkable. No matter who I’m helping, I treat them like members of my own family. That way they can navigate their grief in a way that is validated and supported. Some of my most emotionally impactful funerals have also been my smallest and simplest.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
I always wanted to be an opera singer – like Pavarotti or Bocelli. Unfortunately, I can’t sing, so that career pathway went nowhere.
