Parking is available for 25 cars in the funeral home car park including 1 designated disabled parking spot. If the car park is full, there is also plenty of free street parking available on Francis Street and in the immediate area. What do you enjoy about your job?
I am a career funeral director, (4th Generation) called to my profession in 1974. My aim, always has been and, remains to be the best I can and to elevate the standards of my peers and the company we work for. Client families have always been at the core of my existence, creating the drive to learn, excel and mentor.
How long have you been a location manager?
Joining the company in 1992 as Area Manager for the East in Simplicity. I then moved into General Managers Assistant, Regional Manager (East) and various Training, Area manager, Location Manager and mentoring roles in those 26 years. Lastly, I ended up again at Castle Hill with Allan Drew Funerals (previously here between 2007 -2010).
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Motor cycling, fishing, boating and walking would be the main pursuits outside of work although, now enjoying our first grandchild.
Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
Rotary, Lions, Ulysses MC Club, Legacy and various bowls clubs would be the main beneficiaries of our sponsorship and time. Local churches and several smaller charities and organisations make up the rest of our focus. We always seek to engage our community through 'Blanket Drives' or art showings in our Function Room. Our Italian, Maltese, Asian and Indian communities are all served equally well.
